Non-Food

In the Non-Food industry dispersions, emulsions and foams are well known systems. Ink, lubricating systems and insulation foams are some examples. For these systems similar physical laws count as compared to food systems. With a material science view, properties of food systems can be translated to non-food systems and vice versa. For example, the science on aerated concrete, shaving foam and casting iron that are aerated systems, can be translated to food products such as biscuits, chocolate mousses and breakfast crackers.

With this approach based on Material Science and the broad knowledge on food systems enables Foams.nl to consult in the Non-Food industry on issues related to emulsions, dispersions and foams in terms of production, (de-) stabilization and rheological properties such as texture and structure.
